What do you get when you try to walk across soft snow carrying a large lens and camera….up to your armpits in snow that’s what.
As a good friend I decided to take a photograph instead of helping….
Seriously I had to up the shutter speed to 1/4000 to keep the camera from shaking, I was laughing so hard.

With all the cold and snow we’ve been having, the fact that winter started in November, is making this one of the longest winters I can remember.
I’ve been cleaning snow and working but have still managed to get out a few times. There’s been lots of Snowy Owls, but unlike last winter not many finches, redpolls or grosbeaks have been around. A few here and there but nothing like last year. I think I haven’t even seen a Waxwing yet. A few trips to Algonquin and Amherst has really been it. I’d even settle for a Ring-billed.
At work it’s been crazy busy, no chance to go anywhere…just way to cold.
