Southwest Trip – 2013 – Improvement Images

I managed a few improvement images of birds I already had but the photos were not great. With the equipment I was using back in 2004 they looked fantastic but with todays 40mp cameras they looked pretty bad.

Insects and Reptiles – Texas – November 2013

Whenever I travel and I get an opportunity to get a few new butterfly images, I never pass on the chance.

A mile from the Bentsen-Rio State Park in Mission, Texas, you can find the National Butterfly Center.

Over 200 species of Butterfly can be found at the Center and as it happened I also heard they had a Clay-colored Thrush coming to their feeding station. I really enjoyed my few hours there and managed to photograph many butterfies, moths and a few lizard species. I never figured there would be so many in November.

Butterflies are just the coolest things…..Two of the Spiney Lizards below I have no name for yet, if you have any idea what they are called let me know.

If you click on the images you can see them larger size and I now have added a follow widget. Clicking it and entering your email, sends a message each time I update my blog.
