This past week a Eurasian Widgeon appeared at the Moodie Ponds in Ottawa. I drove there the first day it was being seen and got a few lovely long range views through my spotting scope.

Friday morning I went back and had a chance to view them a little closer and get a long range image.

I am off to Alaska for the month of June, I can’t imagine how many new species I will see and photograph.
